Boxer
Why are boxers called boxers?
There are different theories, the
most popular being that when playing, boxers sometimes stand on their hind
legs and punch their owners like a kangaroo! But the name may be derived
from a German word.
Boxers are strong and agile, but playful with the
family. They need lots of exercise. Boxer puppies should be trained from an
early age. Boxers have short, smooth
coats. Short coated breeds feel the cold, so keep your boxer indoors in the
winter.
The Boxer dog originated in Germany in the early 20th century. They
were bred to be watch dogs. An English bulldog was mated to a boxer which
produced the short-nosed breed we know today. See Origins of dogs and
development of breeds
A Boxer can be light brown or brindle with white
markings (not all white).

Papillon belongs to Moira
Sturmair. Moira says, "My dogs are my life
savings. They bring lots of fun, joy, and love into a home. Life is full
of stress and we tend to forget the basics of life. If you look at a
dogs life, you will see what we are
missing in life!
So to all those stressed and lonely people: get a pet and this will do
you
wonders!"

| You
get good dogs & bad dogs. A dog that won't respond to training we
would call a "bad" dog. Bad dogs have to stay outside and will
not enjoy the comfort & warmth of the master's home. It's the same
with people. We are sometimes like bad dogs! The Bible says,
"Outside (shut out of heaven) are the dogs: those who practice
magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and
everyone who loves and practices falsehood."
